Marching Band Drums Up Victories at Granada Hills Competition

Pali High's marching band took top honors at the Granada Hills HS Highlander Marching Band Competition this past weekend.
Our band garnered First Place in percussion and second place overall in their division. This is the second year in a row that Pali has placed in this competition.

Tideline Staff Sweeps Journalism Competition in Washington D.C.

Selected members of the Tideline Staff attended the National Journalism Education Association convention in Washington D.C. from November 12-15. Students attended various specialized conventions and competed in a write-off competition. Overall, Seniors Jackie Rosen, Rachel Levitan, Katy Pool, Elizabeth Pauly, Mariel Redlin and Negar Mahmoodi earned Honorable Mentions in their categories, editorial writing, news writing, feature writing, commentary writing, and copy- editing. Junior Jayant Subramanyam won Excellence in Sports Writing and Junior Ben Levine won Excellence in Broadcast News Writing. This was the fourth JEA Convention that the Tideline has won national merit and recognition. The Tideline plans on attending the next JEA convention in Portland this spring.

Optimists Pitch In $10K for Pali Pool

Incoming Optimists Club President Geoff Shelden and outgoing President Lester Wood visited Pali to present a donation of $10,000 towards the construction of the Maggie Gilbert Aquatic Center.
